I’ve never been overweight, not really, I went through some things when I was younger when I thought I was ‘fat’ and I lost WAY too much weight. I was sick but having been healthy for years I don’t look at myself like that any more, I don’t constantly wonder if I’ve gained too much weight or if I could be thinner. That part of my life is over, thankfully.
But having been a sex and relationship columnist for the past couple of years I do recognize the relationship between feeling sexy and having great sex. In fact the link between physical fitness and great sex isn’t just an idea, it’s freaking SCIENCE.
So after attending a party at Flirty Girl Fitness in Toronto last month I decided that it was high time to get fit and flirty again, I don’t want to lose weight I just want to tighten and tone a few things.
Thanks to Evolution PR I’ll be taking free classes at Flirty Girl for the next month and I couldn’t be more excited.
I started yesterday with the Abs, Legs & Booty class with Clara and holy hell did she kick my booty. The class was amazing but it wasn’t just the class or the instructor it was the freedom of being able to work out without thinking about who was watching – there is something really special about a ladies only gym. I felt safe, I felt free and I didn’t give a damn that I wasn’t wearing a stitch of make-up or that my face was tomato red as I pushed my body as hard as I possibly could.
Tomorrow I’m going to try Pole Dance at 8:30PM and on Tuesday I’m going to try Flirty Fight Club at 7:30PM. It’s just the beginning to a healthier more toned me but I already feel like I’m on the right track and I’m really, really, REALLY excited about it.
