March Madness

March started off with a bang and some seriously annoying drama… But aside from that I’ve got a crazy busy March full of awesome things!

I leave for SXSW tomorrow afternoon and I’ll be back on the 13, two days later my mum and her hubs are coming to Toronto to meet boyfriend and the weekend after that boyfriend and I are heading to Viamede for a weekend of, much needed, pampering.

I’m most excited for SXSW; this will be my first time attending the prestigious event and I’m pretty sure they’ll have to drag me back home kicking and screaming. I’m a bit of a country girl,  you can blame my mama for that one; in fact right now I’m listening to Darius Rucker sing a cover of Wagon Wheel and it’s pretty much making my life. So SXSW is basically nerd camp in the country music capital of the world; which has boyfriend worrying that I’ll accidentally on purpose miss my flight home.

SXSW logoI’ve got a crazy line-up for SXSW – don’t worry you’ll be able to follow all my nerdy, digital media and line dancing adventures right here.

When I get home I’ve got a day to rest work and then Mum is coming to visit me and meet the boyfriend, which she’s excited about because I’ve never actually offered to let her meet the boy in my life. We’ll go for dinner and probably dessert, I hope dessert, and she will love him because he’s fantastic and smart and the kind of guy I’m sure she’s always pictured me with. I will hate that she loves him but I’ll get over it, because he is awesome and he embraces all the crazy I have to give…. willingly! It’s weird I know.

Then finally on March 22, boyfriend and I are going to Viamede for a weekend of eating, resorting and relaxing which I think we’ll both have earned by that point. The rooms at Viamede have fireplaces, whirl pool tubs and flat screens in the bedrooms. There’s a spa onsite for extreme pampering  and from what I’ve been told the food in the dining room phenomenal… I’m getting excited just thinking about it. deluxeroom

Come the end of the month I will have earned a really good massage and a weekend of relaxing… who knew such a resort was only a couple hours outside of Toronto.

You could definitely see your enthusiasm in the work you write. The world hopes for even more passionate writers like you who are not afraid to say how they believe. Always follow your heart.
