Life has been busy as of late; I organized and ran Love a Heart for the third successful year in a row, I’ve been crazy at work, I went to SXSWi for the first time ever and I’ve got a few exciting opportunities happening in my work life – life is BUSY. Boyfriend has been just as busy promoting his last short film and now working on a campaign for his next one… which I will be telling you all about as soon as I’m allowed to.
With life being so busy I was OVER the moon when Viamede and Charming Media offered to send Boyfriend and I away for a weekend to review the beautiful Ontario resort. I’ve been looking at the website and salivating for the past couple of weeks but now we’re only 4 sleeps away and I can’t contain the excitement any longer.
We organized our rental car from Discount Rental (SO CHEAP) this morning and now we’re planning the weekend which so far includes cross country skiing, ordering room service, relaxing in front of a fire, enjoying the in-room whirlpool tub, checking out the hot tub AND feeding deer from our hands. Obviously I’m most excited about hanging out with some deer because SQUEE… but quality couple time with Boyfriend is good too I guess.

Sometimes all you need in order to recharge is to get away from the city for a little while and relax; with busy career-filled lives not every couple has the time to escape to an island for a week or two but there’s no reason you can’t still get away for a couple days.
