#ChallengeExtended

Dear Guy,

I hear you’re planning on doing a show in Toronto, that’s awesome because we’re a pretty fabulous city with some pretty fabulous food.

I’d like to invite you to dinner. I’m sure you’ve gotten this type of offer from many people, don’t worry I’m Canadian we’re super nice people I won’t be offended if you decline but you should probably accept.

I’d like to ask you to join me at Lou Dawg’s on King Street in Toronto’s downtown core. Lou Dawg’s specializes in Southern style B-B-Q with a Canadian twist.

May I introduce you to Loutine…

Loutine is according to the menu, “Hand-cut fries topped with homemade gravy made from smoked chicken bones and fresh – never frozen cheese curds AND our famous pulled pork. This ain’t no routine poutine.” It’s a Canadian favourite with a Southern flare and it is by far one of my favourite things to eat in the city; whether you have a hangover, a bad day or you’re just really in need of some comfort food Loutine does the trick. Every. Damn. Time.

In the spirit of disclosure I’m friends with some of the people who work at Lou Dawg’s, I go there almost every Thursday for #LoserKaraoke and I have had more than a few hangover brunches there. But I wouldn’t go so often if it didn’t taste like delicious with a side of awesome.

So I extend to you this challenge: join me for dinner at Lou Dawg’s while you’re in town and I’ll cover the bill if you don’t fall in love with the food, which you will, I will take a pie in the face on your show. I’m gearing up for public humiliation – that is how much I believe that you will love yourself some Loutine.

The only question left to ask is this,  will you accept?

Cheers,

Shan

I remember I was there one evening but I wasn’t hungry. My loss.

Well I don’t know about Guy but next time I’m in Toronto I’m there! And most likely on a Thursday so I can participate in #LoserKaraoke!

I went to Lou Dawgs with a group and i must say the food was terrible and the service was just as bad. Nobody in the group liked the food at all. 5/10 at best.

Maybe it was just a bad day… try it again because seriously, so so so good! Either that or this is a case of broken tastebuds – do you like olives & black licorice?
