As any frequent traveller knows you can’t guarantee anything and plans are often broken or at least altered, it’s all part of the fun. So when I received a call from my friends at Sandals Resorts letting us know that our trip was changing to a new location, I decided to go with it. I’m going on an epic trip to a tropical paradise; who am I to complain which tropical paradise it is? So, instead of heading to the Bahamas this weekend we’re going to Montego Bay.
Sandals Montego Bay is Sandals’ flagship resort nestled on the island’s most beautiful private white-sand beach. And because the Sandals team knew how desperately I wanted to meet the swimming pigs in Exuma they’ve upped the ante and upgraded us to a Beachfront Butler Villa (yes, please!) and added two massage services at the Red Lane Spa to our booking. I might not get to see the swimming pigs (yet), but I plan on experiencing everything Montego Bay has to offer.
I plan on alternating between as many water based activities as I can, snorkelling (just, look at that reef!) and paddle boarding both feel like opportunities I don’t want to pass up. And laying in the sun drinking mojitos while sending beach photos to my friends at work – because I’m mean, and it’s one of my favourite vacation activities.
